Sashiko Stitching

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese form of embroidery used by working families to repair, strengthen and lengthen the life span of their work clothes. Modern sashiko stitching is used artistically and aesthetically to mend, repair and enhance garments.
Indigo Dying

Traditional blue dye technique process used around the world to restore color to worn or faded fabrics. Indigo is home grown, home extracted and home dyed in my backyard. All parts of the process are honored when we use this technique. From seed to sew.
Boro Style Patchwork

Boro is a style that comes from traditional Japanese culture of preserving and layering patches of textile and cotton fabrics. Layers of patchwork applied to well used areas of your garment for intentional reinforcement, sturdiness and conservation of all available resources. Once shameful, now sustainable.
Hand Stamped Designs

Wood carving and hand-stamping designs on fabric. Sounds simple, but so much time and craftsmanship goes behind each piece. The process is intentional and therapeutic and the results remind us about the beauty of this ancient practice. No two pieces are exactly alike, yet they are all connected and tied each other.
